Tammy Schondelmayer
Tammy Schondelmayer is the Director of Athletics and District Coordinator of Physical Education and Health for the Bloomfield Public Schools in Bloomfield CT. She has been an athletic director for 21 years, all of which have been in Bloomfield. Under Tammy’s leadership, the athletics program at Bloomfield HS has amassed 64 state championships and 25 sportsmanship awards, of which she is the most proud.
Tammy graduated from Eastern Connecticut State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education and a minor in Athletic Coaching. While at Eastern, Tammy was a 4 year starter at short stop on the nationally ranked softball team that won a national title in her freshman year. She earned honors as the Outstanding Physical Education Major, the Female Scholar-Athlete Award and was named to the All- New England and All-Northeast Region softball teams. In 2009, Tammy was inducted in the ECSU E-Club Hall of Fame.
Tammy has a Master’s of Science in School Health from Southern Connecticut State University, a 6th year degree from American International College in Educational Leadership, and holds a 092 certification in intermediate administration.

Tammy spends her summers and free time playing recreational softball, travelling and seeing the country in her RV with family and friends, and spending time with her dog Toby.
